Camellia X 'Christmas Rose'
This evergreen shrub produces striking semi-double blooms in deep pink throughout winter and into early spring, offering reliable seasonal color when most gardens rest. The plant maintains its appeal year-round with dense, glossy dark-green foliage that provides structure and visual interest. At maturity, it reaches 5 to 6 feet tall and spreads 4 to 6 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, or specimen displays in temperate climates.
Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea.
