Juniperus chinensis 'Angelica Blue'

The 'Angelica Blue' juniper is a dense, spreading, vase shaped shrub. Fine-textured blue-green needles cover upright, outward-reaching woody stems.  Its blue-green hue intensifies in cooler temperatures. Give it room to spread out, as it can mature to a width of 10 feet. This conifer creates a great contrast when mixed with dark green plants in a rock garden.  An easy care juniper, it is ideal to plant  on a hillside for erosion control or as a fast-growing accent in a large sunny bed.

Joseph's Take

Joseph's Take

Angelica Blue Juniper is another go to plant for sunny hills that you don't want to mow. Once I plant these, I mulch well and keep the weeds out for a year. Only thing to always remember with any Juniper is to plant in full sun and in soil that does not stay wet. Junipers do not like wet feet.
