Rhododendron 'Capistrano'
Yellow rhododendrons add warmth to the garden. 'Capistrano' has delicate pastel yellow flowers with no markings. Its mid-May flowers are funnel shaped and have large clusters with frilly edges. Leaves are retained on the plant for two to three years, which gives R. 'Capistrano' its dense, mounding habit.
Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting Rhododendron as they prefer less watering than you might think. In clay soil we prefer planting with pine bark soil conditioner for Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, Azalea.
