Hydrangea anomala petiolaris

The Climbing Hydrangea Vine is a slow starter, but then climbs quickly. It may take a couple of seasons before she produces her first blooms, but it is well worth the wait! Her blanket of blooms are lacy and white, with rich deep green leaves. The vine attaches well to any structure with her aerial roots tips and will continue to climb as a surface is available.

I love to plant these on a fireplace. One of my customers has one that has slowly climbed up around 20 feet on her brick fireplace.  This Hydrangea is truly amazing when flowering. We ship this one on a small wooded trellis to help it get started.
