Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar
Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca Pendula'
Just in case you haven’t taken Latin recently, here’s a little translation---the cedrus atlantica is a cedar with bluish-green (glauca) needles borne upon dramatic weeping (pendula) branches. Also known as the Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar, this tree makes a stunning statement even in a small garden. It grows slowly, can be trained to grow upright with sturdy support to a height of 10 feet, or can be allowed to naturally sprawl, waterfall-like, to width of 15 feet over rocks or stone walls. Grows best in full sun in well-drained, acidic, loamy soil.
