Daphne x Perfume Princess™

 

Perfume Princess Daphne is a hybrid of Daphne odora and Daphne bholua. It blooms earlier, longer and more profusely that traditional daphne! It will even bloom along it's stems! It also grows to be a bit larger and is generally more adaptable in a variety of soils, its leaves are larger and solid green throughout the year. We still recommend well drained soil, mulch, and a good slow release fertilizer after bloom season. 

 

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting Daphne as they prefer less watering than you might think. In clay soil we prefer planting with pine bark soil conditioner for Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel,  Azalea, and Daphne.
