Camellia japonica 'Christmas Beauty'
This winter-flowering camellia showcases luxurious velvet blooms in rich red to coral tones, featuring semi-double petals accented by golden stamens. Often celebrated as winter's answer to the rose, this variety matures to an impressive 10 to 12 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for creating seasonal focal points in your landscape.
Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea.
