Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Azalea, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, or Camellia as they all prefer fall planting with less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting these varieties.
Autumn Rouge® Encore Azalea
Rhododendron ‘Conlea’ pp# 10438
Autumn Rouge is an evergreen reblooming azalea that has semi-double blooms. This pink addition has handsome dark leaves that provide interest over the winter where some other azaleas simply can’t. Spring and autumn flowers transform this shrub--after the spring blooming season, trimming can be done to keep your desired shape.
