The Green Velvet Boxwood is an evergreen with a full compact, dense body that yields emerald green foliage year round. Reaching a mature height and width of 4 feet this variety is extremely versatile. Uses include border, container, mass planting, topiary, urban garden, foliage interest, and ornamental. Your imagination will utilize the topiary characteristic in geometric design or as far as your mind will take you to create.

Green Velvet grows slower than Green Mountain and it foliage is a quite a bit darker. Both are great for hedging and can handle the stress of the sun. Green Velvet can grow down south to zone 9 or as far north as zone 4.
