Gold Cone Juniper
Juniperus communis 'Gold Cone'
Gold Cone Juniper grows to form an upright, gentle-growing column only reaching about 5 feet in height and 2 feet in width at maturation. It's new foliage is bright yellow in spring and matures to a deep copper color by the following winter. Coloring and growth rate depend on its environment but its best to grow in full sun zones 5 thru 7. Gold Cone is an interesting addition to a rock garden but is likely most useful in a planter on the front porch!
