Japanses Maples are easy to grow in a sunny spot with space to spread out. A little dappled shade in the afternoon is a good idea in warmer states as the leaves can be stressed in the hottest months of the year.
Tobiosho Japanese Maple 2-4ft
Acer palmatum 'Tobiosho'
Tobiosho likes a little space to spread out. In full sun it can reach 12 feet tall and wide. Its deep green leaves turn a super bright red in fall. During winter, its branch structure adds texture and much interest to a winter landscape as do all Japanese Maples since the generally have curvy gnarled branch structure. During the growing season its leaves are thick and full.
Our Japanese Maples are sold in 2 or 3 gallon pots. They are larger and more mature than a typical one gallon specimen. Since all Japanese Maples are generally slow growing, it is advised to choose a more mature plant when installing into your landscape. If you would like a current photo of any specimen, please send us an email.
