Rhododendron ‘Roblea’ PP12142

Purple foliage begins to give way to a green color as the seasons change and the gorgeous double pink flowers get ready to bloom on this stunning beauty. When given lots of sun, the Autumn Princess® Encore Azalea will gift us its best flowers all throughout spring and fall.

This gorgeous compact azalea shrub improves your landscape when its used as a foundation planting, the colors group together magically, and the color changing foliage contrasts the beautiful flowers beautifully when the Autumn Princess® is used as a show piece.

Joseph's Take

Joseph's Take

All Encores have many uses in the landscape, mainly because they are proficient bloomers and we all love color! When I’m choosing an Encore for a landscape, I usually choose one that will look nice next its surrounding plants as well as any architectural structures that may come into play. All Encore Azaleas have beautiful flowers, I have always loved the purple varieties.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea as they all prefer fall planting with less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting these varieties.
