Erica × darleyensis 'Winter Surprise’

 

Its low spreading habit and ground cover characteristics make it the perfect plant for rock gardens or along paths especially as mass plantings. Lovely purple-pink flowers bloom in abundance throughout winter and early spring. Heather loves the sun but does best in partial shade and this particular variant is hardy from zones 5 through 8.
