Chief Joseph is another collectors must have! Green is summer becoming bright yellow by fall, it's slow growing and difficult to propagate much like the companion plants highlighted below. Chief Joseph was originally found in the east Oregon Wallowa Mountains. As with most pines, Chief Joseph prefers well drained soil, a cool winter, and moderate summers.
