Syringa vulgaris 'Sensation'
Noted for its large natural floral trusses of white laced purple florets. Sensation Lilac blooms mid-season. Their fragrant showy flowers are used for decorative purposes in floral arrangements, but is also used in more nutritional manners such as for treating ailments like malaria and vermifuge. Because of its open, upright habit, its beautiful green foliage combined with the lovely flowers can be used to create springtime flowering hedge or an accent to a foundation. Hardy in zones 3 through 7, Lilacs such as this one love full sun in any northern state.
