Sunshine Daydream Abelia
Abelia x Grandiflora 'Sunshine Daydream' PP#21929
Anyone who likes the Grateful Dead should have this plant in their garden, as it shares its name with the Dead's documentary film made in 1972. Music aside, this abelia is another addition from the Garden Debut series. Sunshine Daydream has pink-edged, yellow leaves with green centers borne on red stems. White blooms emerge in September which turn pink as the season progresses. Its naturally mounding shape and relatively small size make it suitable as a front-of-the-border shrub or along a walkway. Often used as foundation planting, in a grouping, or in a container, the variegated foliage of this compact shrub is sure to shine in your garden!
