Hydrangea macrophylla 'Kompeito' PP 20,998

Double blooms on notably strong stems grace the Star Gazer Hydrangea as well as a strong round habit with lush dark green foliage. A repeat lace cap bloomer, spring through fall. Each flower cluster transforms into an exquisite, pristine blue and white bouquet as a stunning outer ring of large blooms first unfolds, followed by lovely smaller inner blooms. Star Gazer is a good friend of Cherry Explosion Hydrangea, they look amazing together. Please view Cherry Explosion in the recommended companions below.

Star Gazer will begin shipping on March 1st, 2024.

Shade hydrangeas prefer moist soil and regular watering during the growing season. For most, in order to obtain the blue flower color, apply 2 tablespoons of aluminum sulfate near the base of the plant. A rusty nail or coffee grounds will also increase the acidity of the soil which makes the flowers turn blue. Wedding Gown will not need this application as it's flowers are always white.
