Shade hydrangeas prefer moist soil and regular watering during the growing season. For most, in order to obtain the blue flower color, apply 2 tablespoons of aluminum sulfate near the base of the plant. A rusty nail or coffee grounds will also increase the acidity of the soil which makes the flowers turn blue.
Cityline® Paris Hydrangea
Hydrangea macrophylla 'Paris Rapa' USPP 10,906
Cityline® Paris is a great friend to another Proven winners dwarf Cityline® Rio Hydrangea. Both are similarly dwarf, this one blooms hot pink while Rio blooms a deep blue. Planting together in a shady spot adds summer color and interest. Keep in mind that all hydrangeas prefer moist soil during the growing season.
