Popcorn Snowball Viburnum
Viburnum Plicatum f. Plicatum 'Popcorn'
Popcorn Viburnum has been around for ages, and is described as an Old World shrub. Mounds and mounds of ' snowball' like blooms form in the spring and remain beautiful for weeks. As they age, they may take on a pinkish tone. This deciduous plant's leaves turn to a showy burgundy color in the fall. The Popcorn Viburnum does well grouped as an informal hedge, a stand alone beauty, or as a tall background shrub for your landscape. This Viburnum blooms on old wood, so be careful when timing your pruning.
