Gardener’s Notes: Since lower spreading plants like the Drift® Rose tend to work better accompanying other larger plants, it is better to plant these in front of taller plants especially since they have a good spread to cover up unsightly empty spots and they add a great color to the landscape. Drift® Roses are great to use on sunny slopes since most slope plants do not look as good as a Drift® Rose.
Coral Drift® Rose
‘Meidrifora’ PP 19,148
The Drift® Rose is a hybrid rose bush that incorporates the toughness and resilience of larger ground cover roses and the beauty of miniature roses. Bright coral-orange blooms cover this small mounding shrub from mid-spring to mid-fall. This low laying plant is perfect for use as ground cover, but many people will use these for contrast against other shrubs or trees. This plant is winter hardy and disease resistant. Drift® Roses work well by itself in a pot or container, grouped together, as an accent piece complementing a larger plant, or as foundation planting.
