Purple Daydream® Dwarf Loropetalum
Loropetalum chinense ‘PPI’ PP25471
Originally derived from the witch hazel, the loropetalum has given gardeners everywhere a refreshing alternative to green. Some varieties of loropetalum, however, grow to monstrous size. Southern Living has now introduced a loropetalum designed to meet the needs of the average home owner when it comes to landscape shrubs: sun loving, evergreen, unique color, interesting flower, and manageable size. Purple Daydream loropetalum--named after its reddish-pink fringe flower in the spring--has a deep burgundy broad leaf, and reaches just three feet tall and wide in three years. Great qualities in a nice package.
