Obsession Nandina impresses us when its new growth is red which continuously sprouts throughout the growing season. Then in winter, all of its leaves transform to to the common red look of the winter nandina. Difference here is that you end up with a nandina that's basically red all year, pretty cool. In the "goes well with" section below, I chose larger dark green hedging type of plants as red nandinas looks pretty great in front of a dark green property hedge.
