Picea abies 'Pendula'

A smaller, denser weeping conifer than the Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar, the Weeping Norway Spruce makes a stunning accent plant that grows wider than it does tall. Deep green needles on thick trailing branches and 4-inch long hanging cones. With deliberate pruning and support, the Weeping Norway Spruce can ultimately be trained into a type of arbor, or even a mythical, whimsical dreadlocked dragon creature. Who wouldn’t want that in their garden?

Joseph's Take

Joseph's Take

Weeping Norway Spruce and Weeping Colorado Blue Spruce are very similar in size. Norway Spruce can handle a little more heat during the summer and has very bright yellow new growth in spring backdropped with deep green. It, like Daisy White Alberta Spruce, is a true speciman for Green Bay Packers fans!
