Rhaphiolepis x delacourii 'Corleyscourii' PP #15,544

This shrub offers just about everything a busy homeowner is looking for: low maintenance, medium-size, evergreen, blooming, and attractive. The 'Snow Cap' Indian Hawthorne reaches an average size of four feet at a moderate rate, ideal for a foundation or large hedge. The Indian Hawthorne's wide leaves stay green until the cold arrives, then they turn an eye-catching red in winter. Pink blooms emerge in April, then age to white, making the shrub appear to have been dusted in snow. Blooms fade and give way to blackish blue berries in the fall. In zone 7 areas, Indian Hawthorne can be sensitive to extreme cold and grow best in somewhat sheltered areas, like in a courtyard or against the home's foundation.
