A native alternative to boxwood, Strongbox Holly is a compact, evergreen, naturally mounded shrub that offers resistance to deer, disease, and winter burn. A bit broader and less rounded than Gem Box holly.

Joseph's Take

Joseph's Take

Strongbox holly is a new and very nice replacement plant for both dwarf boxwood and Soft Touch holly. With little effort, this dwarf inkberry holly makes a really nice low-growing hedge along sidewalks and driveways. As with any holly, full sun and well drained soil is a good idea. I love to plant these as a hedge patterned like a snake curling through a large planting bed, Drift Roses look nice as accents along the way.
