Joseph's Take
Good companion plants are Mountain Laurel, Azalea, and Paperbush as a nearby speciman.

Wider than she is tall, this mounding mountain-on-fire Pieris makes a colorful statement in your shaded yard. A ‘standard’ slow growing Pieris, it has the classic white blooms of chain-like racemes with downward facing, bell-like flowers. The foliage is the main year-round interest in this shrub, and the new growth is a stand-out red against the glossy darker-green evergreen leaves. They are easily suitable as a low hedge, specimen, or a larger container plant.
