Hydrangea macrophylla 'Hokomaburlac' USPPAF

After decades of breeding efforts, horticulturists have achieved what seemed impossible—a genuinely red mophead hydrangea that thrives in shade. The Cherry-Go-Round™ represents a breakthrough moment for the industry, finally delivering the vibrant crimson blooms gardeners have long desired. Developed by Blooming Easy in Vancouver, British Columbia, this reblooming variety generated tremendous excitement when unveiled at major trade shows. We're thrilled to offer this remarkable achievement, knowing it opens new design possibilities for shaded garden spaces where red flowering plants have been scarce.

Shade hydrangeas prefer moist soil and regular watering during the growing season. For most, in order to obtain the blue flower color, apply 2 tablespoons of aluminum sulfate near the base of the plant. A rusty nail or coffee grounds will also increase the acidity of the soil which makes the flowers turn blue.
