Camellia japonica 'Red Fellow'

The Red Fellow stands out with its bright, large, semi-double bloom and large yellow stamen center. Growing at a moderately slow rate reaching a mature height of 8 feet and a width of 4 feet. This cold hardy plant may be used as accent, group plantings, container, and cut flowers. Red Fellow is another choice camellia for zone 6.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea.
