Snowball Viburnum

The Snowball Bush Viburnum has been around for ages, and is described as an Old World shrub. Mounds and mounds of ' snowball' like blooms form in the spring and remain beautiful for weeks. As they age, they may take on a pinkish tone. This deciduous plant's leaves turn to a showy burgundy color in the fall.  The Snowball Viburnum does well grouped as an informal hedge, a stand alone beauty, or as a tall background shrub for your landscape. This Viburnum blooms on old wood, so be careful when timing your pruning.

Joseph's Take

Snowball Viburnum flowers look like a mophead Hydrangea but they bloom much earlier and on old wood, the flowers are always white. So this one is especially nice where it has room to spread out to 8' with only occasional selective trimming. Plant in shade.
