Pieris japonica 'Prelude'

Prelude Pieris is a shade-loving plant which sports excellent cold tolerance and lovely flower buds when most plants are still in their winter slumber. New foliage ranges from bronze to light green, later maturing to dark green, creating a multi-colored effect. In summer, white pendulous buds resembling tiny strings of pearls abundantly adorn the branches. The buds sustain through the winter, and finally open to white blooms in spring. Evergreen, compact in size.
