Pink Yuletide Camellia

Camellia sasanqua 'Pink Yuletide'
Being a relative to Yuletide Camellia, sporting its similar characteristics, it was originally called Pink Yuletide Camellia named for its showy yet delicate rosy-pink flowers. Its blooming season starts around October and continues through December in most climates. Each flower carries 7 petals rather than its predecessor that carries only 5 enabling the pink variant to present a more full appearance against it's dark green foliage. They do grow quite tall and wide which makes this perform very well as a privacy screen or hedge but would also fare well as a beautiful specimen or potted shrub.
Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In clay soil we prefer planting with pine bark soil conditioner for Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, Azalea.
