Camellia sasanqua 'Green 02-003' PP24538

Clusters of these red double flowers on this upright camellia make for an easily tended fall bloomer. Growing between 3 and 4 feet tall, this camellia makes a great groundcover. Almost full sun with a bit of shade is the best option for this densely growing camellia. With the dark green evergreen foliage, this bloomer is a year-round choice. While it doesn’t need much if any pruning, this camellia can take shaping if clipped before their first flush of growth appears in early spring.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea.

October Magic Ruby 5 gallon will begin shipping on February 15, 2024.
