Pinus strobus, 'Green Twist'

The landscape industry is always trying to develop new, interesting plants; sometimes, however, nature does a better job than we ever could. Such is the case with the ‘Green Twist’ White Pine. This dwarf, uniquely-textured variety of white pine originated as a witch’s broom growth from a basic white pine. Aptly named, ‘Green Twist’ sports curly green needles, but only grows 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide and keeps its rounded shape. This tree makes an eye-catching addition to any garden bed or rock garden.

I prefer to plant Green Twist as a speciman and complement it with dwarf color. Drift Roses and Pugster Butterfly Bushes are great for that, I made some suggestions below.
