Golden Pacific Juniper
Juniperus conferta 'sPg-3-016'
Juniperis conferta, also called shore juniper, is native to certain sandy coastal areas of Japan and Sakhalin Island, Russia (how’s that for specific!). From the propagation of that parent plant, we have received Blue Pacific Juniper and now, Gold Pacific Juniper. Gold Pacific features the same low, trailing growth as Blue Pacific, but in a glorious yellow version. This type of juniper isn’t a demanding, fussy diva, but does best in sandy, hot, full sun conditions. The better the sun exposure, the better the yellow color. Excellent in commercial settings or cascading over rock features or slopes. The bright yellow foliage looks amazing with the blue of Blue Dunes Leymus grass or the greens of distylium. For a no-fuss groundcover suitable for tough conditions, try Gold Pacific!
