Hydrangea paniculata 'SMHPFL' USPP 25,135; CBR 5160

This panicle hydrangea has long lasting interest! White blooms turn to blush then to a full-on deep pink as the season progresses. This hydrangea grows to about 7’ tall and wide, so give it some sunny space in your garden bed to watch it take off! Sturdy stems keep the flowers up for better viewing and this variety is hardy all the way into zone 3 through zone 8 making it another exceptionally hardy hydrangea choice.

Joseph's Take

Joseph's Take

For a very long time hydrangeas have been one of my personal favorite plants. I love the leaf texture and the flowers of course. Most people dont know, but hydrangeas usually have amazing fall leaf color and texture either yellow or red before falling off for the winter. During the growing season they love to be watered, so don't hesitate to put on your flip flops on a hot day and give the hydrangea a drink. This fall, I will try to get some photos of their super cool leaves.
