Kalmia latifolia Carousel

The rounded middle ring of deep fuschia purple-pink in the otherwise white flowers of this Mountain Laurel look like an aerial view of a vibrant carousel--whether that is coincidence or not is up to your imagination. An easy evergreen choice for the yard, this vigorous grower with it’s glossy dark green leaves makes for a tall mounded addition to your shaded yard.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Mountain Laurel as they prefer fall planting with less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea.
