Rhododendron ‘Roblel’ PP16278

The Autumn Debutante® Encore Azalea is a favorite due to its sun tolerance and large pink repeating blooms. The 3" blooms can appear from spring to frost, against glossy evergreen foliage. This plant is great for a colorful border or even in a container. Rounded in nature, this Encore Azalea is loved but butterflies and other pollinators, and requires little care.

Joseph's Take

Joseph's Take

All Encores have many uses in the landscape, mainly because they are proficient bloomers and we all love color!  When I'm choosing an Encore for a landscape, I usually choose one that will look nice next its surrounding plants as well as any architectural structures that may come into play.  All Encore Azaleas have beautiful flowers, I have always loved the purple varieties.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Azalea, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, or Camellia as they all prefer fall planting with less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting these varieties.
