Camellia japonica 'April Kiss'

April Kiss flowers, you may have noticed, look strikingly similar in form to the April Rose Camellia blooms! Both are rose-toned and stunningly formal. The main difference is that the blooms on the April Kiss are more petite, on a similarly tall shrub. Coming up to about 8 feet tall at maturity, this shrub is ideal for an informal hedge, in mass plantings, or as an evergreen specimen in your shaded landscape.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting any Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In NC our soil is clay so we prefer to use pine bark soil conditioner when planting Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, and Azalea.
