Camellia sasanqua 'Apple Blossom'

This versatile fall blooming camellia fits into every setting with its lush green foliage year round. The fun starts during the blooming season when prolific bright pink edged white blossoms adorn the nearly invisible stems from the sea of green leaves. Featuring gold stamens in every center of each flower, it creates a truly ornate spectacle. Apple Blossom Camellia gets it's name from, you guessed it, the flowers look a lot like the flowers of an apple tree even though they are much larger.

Be sure to use a well drained soil medium when planting Camellia as they prefer less watering than you might think. In clay soil we prefer planting with pine bark soil conditioner for Camellia, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, Azalea.
