Angel Falls Eastern White Pine
Pinus strobus ‘Angel Falls’
Named for the world’s tallest waterfall, this slow-growing selection of Eastern white pine has long, very narrow, light green needles and a strong weeping habit. Branching tends to be dense and held close to the trunk, ultimately resembling an irregular column with a weeping top and soft foliage skirt. Very hardy, best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Use as a vertical accent in a conifer or rock garden, or as a contrast among rounder forms such as 'Fire Chief' arborvitae or 'Bird's Nest' spruce.
