Evergreen azaleas are dense, and keep their shapes neatly. To help keep bushes compact, trim plants starting after flowering ends and continuing until mid-June. Deciduous azaleas should be pruned while they are dormant and leafless. New growth will sprout from almost anywhere you cut (in either bare or leafy wood). Easy upkeep for lovely blooms in the spring!
